Family Mission Statement
This has been our mission statement for quite a few years now. It is hanging in our main office, and also hanging in our martial arts dojang upstairs. It says:
1. To defend and protect each person's right to create "Value" for themselves, through the pursuit of their own dreams, and to the extent that they also allow others to do the same.
2. To encourage each person to create "Value" for society, not just for themselves, to the extent that the intended recipients of that "Value" judges it to be valuable.
In #1, you decide for yourself what "Value" is to you. Nobody else decides what is valuable for you.
In #2, everyone ELSE decides what "Value" is for them, and not you. You do not get to decide what is valuable for someone else.
